PDP withdraws from J&K Congress government
In a latest development in the Amarnath land row, Congress’ coalition partner in Jammu and Kashmir, PDP has pulled out of the J&K government on Saturday.
The party had earlier threatened to pull out of the government if the controversial decision to transfer land to the Amarnath Shrine board was not revoked by June 30.
PDP MLAs are meeting in party president Mehbooba Mufti’s residence. Mufti arrived on Saturday from London and met Dy CM Muzaffar Baig.
Meanwhile, J&K Governor’s principal secretary Arun Kumar has been removed as CEO of Amarnath shrine board. As per reports, BB Vyas will take over as interim principal secretary to Governor and shrine board CEO.
