The field operatives of ISI, Pakistan’s military intelligence are directly aiding Taliban’s campaign in Afghanistan. The Taliban’s widening campaign in there is directly supported by the ISI staff according to CIA sources.
The ISI support to Talibans consists of money, military supplies, strategic planning and communications guidance to Taliban commanders who are confronting the NATO military forces.
Support for Taliban and other militant groups is coordinated by operatives in the shadowy S Wing of Pakistan’s spy service, the Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence.
The US Central Intelligence Agency has evidence that ISI operatives meet regularly with Taliban commanders to discuss plans of attack and their implementation.
