Naidu's fast-unto-death enters 6th day

Telugu Desam chief N. He remained firm on continuing his fast till all the demands for the relief of the distressed farmers were conceded.

Ministers D.L. Ravindra Reddy, P. Sabita Indra Reddy and Pithani Satyanarayana met Naidu at NIMS and persuaded him to end his fast. The Ministers tried to impress upon him that the government had announced the best ever relief package for the farmers. But Naidu remained unconvinced.

Meanwhile, the the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Nampally court directed the Saifabad police and the NIMS doctors to take reasonable care of the health and safety of Naidu. The direction was given on a petition filed by the Saifabad police stating that Naidu was refusing to take food even after being admitted in the NIMS.
