Mopidevi’s Brother, Son Joins YSRCP
Hyderabad, July 5 (INN): Brother and son of former minister Mopidevi Venkataramana, who is jail in connection with the Disproportionate Assets Case of Jagan Mohan Reddy, joined the YRS Congress party here on Friday.
Mopidevi’s brother Harinath Babu and son Rajiv joined the YSRCP in the presence of party’s honorary president YS Vijayamma. Speaking on the occasion, Harinath accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of being discriminatory towards his brother. While the Chief Minister was trying to save other ministers in the DA case, Mopidevi was left to the fate as belong to a backward community. He said his family served the Congress party for almost 30 years and it was left alone when in severe crisis.
“Union Minister of State Panabaka Lakshmi asked my brother to turn covert. Health Minister Kondru Murali did not care when we begged him for medical help. I also held Kiran Kumar Reddy’s feet seeking medical help for my brother,” Harinath said.
