Hyderabad, Sept 13 (INN): The CBI Court may deliver its verdict on the interim bail petition filed by former minister Mopidevi Venakataramana on September 16.
The CBI Court, which admitted Mopidevi’s petition seeking interim bail on health grounds on Thursday, heard the petition on Friday. The court has reportedly heard the arguments of both Mopidevi and the CBI on Friday and is adjourned the next hearing to September 16 wherein it is likely to pronounce its verdict.
Mopidevi has been lodged in Chanchalguda Jail since his arrest by the CBI on May 24 this year for his alleged role in the Vanpic segment of disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. In his petition seeking interim bail, Mopidevi told the court that he was suffering from chronic back pain due to problem in his spinal cord.
