Hyderabad, July 16 (INN): Minorities Welfare Minsiter Mohamamd Ahmedullah on Tuesday reviewed the progress of maintenance works and arrangments at Mecca Masjid and Shahi Masjid at Public Gardens in connection with Ramzan festival.
The Minister advised the Joint Collector, Hyderabad to take immediate steps for engaging additional contractual labourers for cleaning the garbage and left over food particles after Iftar. He also informed that an amount of Rs 1.17 crore have already been released to District Minorities Welfare Officer, Hyderabad District, towards maintenance. Spot instructions have been issued to DMWO Hyderabad and other officers concerned to engage additional 10 persons for cleanliness and correlated works wherever necessary at two mosques during regular prayers and Iftar.
The DMWO has also been instructed to arrange two water proof tents in the open space at Shahi Masjid Public Garden and to deploy additional contract labourer. The Minister said that there was no dearth of funds and officials have been instructed to attend the works on war footing.
