Mayawati plans to split UP into 4 small states

UP chief minister Mayawati is most likely to announce the reorganization of Uttar Pradesh, splitting the county’s largest state with 75 districts, into four smaller states.

According to Mayawati’s blueprint the eastern part of the state with 32 districts will be a new state of Poorvanchal, the western with 22 districts will be Harit Pradesh, Bundelkhand with 7 districts and the remaining 14 districts will remain as Uttar Pradesh.

This move by Mayawathi is seen as a poll eve masterstroke, which will cause disarray among the states opposition parties including Congress, BJP and Mulayam Singh’s Samajwadi Party.
