Maharashtra CM offers to resign on Adarsh scam
Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan on Saturday offered to resign from the post in the wake of the embarrassing Adarsh housing scam in Mumbai.
Chavan was summoned by Congress president Sonia Gandhi and he submitted a report on the scam. He has offered to resign if the high command so desired. He had an hour long meeting with the Congress chief.
AICC General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi told reporters that the party President has asked senior leaders Pranab Mukherjee and A K Antony to give a report on the whole matter.
