Hyderabad, June 29 (INN): TRS senior leader and Sircilla MLA K Tarakarama Rao on Saturday met recently inducted Union Textiles Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao.
Speaking to media persons, KTR said he did not talk about politics with Kavuri. He submitted a memorandum pleading with him to solve the problems of handloom workers in the State.
KTR said he asked the Union minister to set up a Common Textile Park at an estimated cost of Rs 210 crores in Sircilla town of Karimnagar district. He also requested the Union minister to extend the Loan Waiver Scheme to the weavers and help sanction Pavala Vaddi loans to the distressed handloom workers.
KTR said Kavuri had expressed his willingness to visit Sircilla after conclusion of the ensuing panchayati elections.
