Kiran Kumar Reddy leaves for Delhi today
The new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Kiran Kumar Reddy is leaving today morning to Delhi to meet Sonia Gandhi and the AICC to finalise the new cabinet. The Congress high command will also decide the incumbents for the posts of deputy chief minister, legislative assembly speaker and the andhra pradesh congress committee president.
Many of the former ministers, MLAs and MLCs are already camping in Delhi lobbying for ministerial berths and other posts. There are wide spread media reports that followers of rebel Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy may not find place in the new cabinet. There is also an agitation by Telangana JACs that congress men from Telangana should not accept the post of deputy chief minister.
Everyone is awaiting the composition of the new cabinet, which may give an idea of the congress high command’s strategy on Jagan and Telangana.
