KCR and TRS MLAs charged for Million March violence
Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the Telangana Joint Action Committee convener Kodandaram, the TRS MLAs Harish Rao and K.T. Rama Rao, and another 50 people are to be prosecuted for provoking violence on March 10 during the Million March when statues of prominent personalities on the Tank Bund were vandalised.
The CCs police have prepared a charge sheet under stringent provisions of Prevention of Public Property Damage Act, Criminal Law Amendment Act, unlawful assembly, rioting and criminal conspiracy which they will file in the Nampally court.
Once, the charge sheet is submitted in the court, the accused may be summoned and the police are likely to get a court directive on action to be taken. 32 cases related to violence have been investigated by City Police’s Special Investigation Team.
