K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao resigns as advisor

Rajya Sabha member K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao resigned as the chairman of the advisory committee on public safety and security and advisor to the government of Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy asked the Chief Secretary, S.V. Prasad, to seek the resignations of advisers, which ran into a dozen including the adviser on economic affairs, D.A. Somayajulu, Dr Peter Hassan and YSR’s relative, C.C. Reddy.

The Chief Minister has already sent all those working in ministers’ peshis on deputation back to their parent departments including the press secretary Chandrasekhar Reddy. All of them were brought to the secretariat during late YSR’s regime.
