Jagan eyeing APCC president post?
The term of D Srinivas as president, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee will end sometime in July-August. A new president will be elected by the APCC. According to reliable sources, Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his camp arte said to be getting ready to make Jagan as the APCC chief. If necessary, they will force a contest for the post.
However, with the winning chances bleak for the Nizamabad constituency by-election, D Srinivas is said to be trying hard to continue as the APCC president.
But the Jagan camp may play spoilsport. According to sources in the Jagan camp, the Kadapa MP is not disinclined to bid for the PCC chief ’s post and challenge the leadership of chief minister K Rosaiah soon after the tremendous response to his recent Vodarpu (consoling) yatra in East Godavari and Khammam districts.
