Former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy will take up one day hunger strike at New Delhi on January 11.
MPs and MLAs supporting him will participate in the deeksha. This deeksha has not yet been named will be on the issues of farmers and on the judgment of Krishna Tribunal.
If YS Rajasekhara Reddy was alive the judgment of Krishna Water Tribunal could not be against the State, he said.
This one day match is obviously to show his strength with MPs and MLA who are with him. Sabbam Hari participated in the Odarpu Yatra on Monday. Several MLAs visited Laksha Deeksha last month.
As is evident from his recent meetings and Odarpu yatra Jagan’s financial muscle is helping him to attract huge crowd. People who had benefitted with welfare schemes of YS Rajasekhara Reddy are also leaning towards Jagan.
There were speculations that the Srikrishna committee cannot solve the problem of Telangana statehood. With wafer thin majority and over ambitious and impatient Jagan on the other side it appears imminent that the State will face mid-term elections.
Sensing an opportunity, Jagan may support separate Telangana. TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao too batting for Jagan. It shows there something cooking between the two leaders.
Telangana Congress leaders are mulling the idea of mass resignations if the Centre fails to carve out separate Telangana in the near future.
