Hyderabad, Oct 10 (INN): YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is continuing his fast on Thursday in the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences where he was forcibly shifted by Hyderabad Police last night.
The City Police was decided to shift Jagan to a hospital after doctors, who conducted a series of tests, reported that his health condition was deteriorating. He was suffering from dehydration and fever and his blood sugar levels dipped. Jagan was then bodily lifted by the police from the hunger strike venue at Lotus Pond at Jubilee Hills and shifted to the NIMS.
Meanwhile, security has been enhanced around the NIMS.
It may be mentioned that Jagan Mohan Reddy went on indefinite hunger strike on October 5 in protest against the Centre’s decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh. He questioned as to how the State could be bifurcated without the consent of State Legislative Assembly. (INN)
