Hillary Clinton sworn in as US Secretary of State

Hillary Clinton, the former first lady and New York Senator, was sworn in as the Secretary of State on Thursday after being confirmed by the US Senate by an overwhelming majority of 94 to 2 votes.

Clinton would be the 67th Secretary of State replacing Condoleezza Rice of the previous Bush administration.

Hillary Clinton will function from now onwards at Foggy Bottom, the State Department headquarters, and start using Smart Power as she described her responsibility during her confirmation.
