HC Rejects Akbar Owaisi’s Petition on Multiple FIRs
Hyderabad, July 19 (INN): The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday rejected a petition filed by MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi in connection with the alleged hate speech cases.
Akbar Owaisi filed a petition before the High Court seeking directions for the police department to refrain from filing multiple FIRs against him in different police stations. He told the court that two separate cases have already been registered against him in Nirmal and Nizamabad towns. However, the High Court rejected the petition although it said that there would be single investigation in the case having multiple FIRs.
