Hyderabad, Oct 6 (INN): Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao on Sunday accused TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu of adopting a double standard on the Telangana issue.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here, Harish Rao asked Naidu to clarify on his intentions of organising a hunger fast in New Delhi. He alleged that Naidu was trying to stall the process of formation of Telangana by holding protest in the national capital. He said that Naidu should speak out clearly whether he supports Telangana or united Andhra Pradesh. He said while Naidu was giving pro-Telangana statements in Hyderabad, he was demanding justice for Seemandhra while touring that region. He demanded that Naidu adopt a single and firm stand on the issue.
Harish Rao said that Naidu’s stand has left the people in confusion. The TDP chief should clarify the real purpose of his Deekhsha in New Delhi.
The TRS MLA also condemned YSR Congress Party president Jagan Mohan Reddy’s indefinite hunger fast for Samaikhyandhra. He said that the efforts to delay or stop the process of Telangana formation would not be tolerated. (INN)
