Flight carrying Sonia Gandhi makes emergency landing
A chartered flight carrying UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Finance Minister P Chidambaram developed a technical snag in one of its engines and made an emergency landing at the Bengaluru airport.
The flight took off from Delhi to land at Coimbatur, from whence Mrs Gandhi and the FM are scheduled to go to Erode in Tamilnadu to address a political meeting. However, after flying over Nagpur, the captain of the aircraft noticed a technical snag developing in the engine.
