Hyderabad, Sept 23 (INN): The Haj Camp 2013 for the departure of the Haj pilgrims opened this morning with the registration of the pilgrims for the first and second flights, scheduled to take off on Wednesday night i.e. Sept 25 from the Haj Terminal of the GMR Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
Elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth and successful Haj operation under the guidance of the Minister for Minorities Welfare Mohammed Ahmadullah, Secretary to Government Minorities Welfare Ahmed Nadeen IAS, Special Officer AP State Haj Committee Prof SA Shukoor and Mohammed Abdul Hameed Executive Officerare supervising the entire Haj Operations with the coordination of various Central and State Government Departments and Organisations.
The pilgrims from various districts have reported at the Haj Camp early depicting the enthusiasm and religious fervor of the pilgrims, who are eager to fly to the sacred land as early as possible.
All the 300 pilgrims of the first flight and 298 pilgrims of the second flight have reported at the Haj Camp today. The largest contingent belongs to Hyderabad District with 205 and 93 pilgrims respectively for the first and second flight totaling 293 pilgrims on the first day of the camp. Nine pilgrims from neighboring Karnataka state are also leaving on the first day.
