English education to the masses

The Union government had sanctioned 2,500 schools under the Scheme for Universalisation of Access to Improvement of Quality Education at Secondary Stage (SUCCESS) programme for Andhra Pradesh under which 100 schools of the district will be developed. The major target of the scheme is to bring about universal access of secondary level education to all students of state schools.

The state government has decided to set up 100 English Medium government schools from this academic year in the drought prone backward Prakasam district. This decision will benefit poor people largely as they can send their children to schools in English Medium schools for best opportunities in today’s competitive world.
