SSP Yadav, who once again took over the top post of Director General of Police of Andhra Pradesh, seems to be uncomfortable with the question-asking curious media persons.
Yadav appeared to be irritated when questioned about his visit to Idupulapaya, the CM’s ilaka in Kadapa and his trip abroad. He even commented that he need not inform the media about his itinerary or agenda.
The DGP seems to forget that he is one of the top public servants of the state and he has every responsibility to be open to public scrutiny. No civil servant can become a sycophant and go on praising the chief minister to get plum posts and enjoy unlimited authority.
Yadav has to learn a lot for AK Mohanty who was dignity personified during his short term as DGP and that during the crucial period of the conduct of general elections.
