Curfew imposed in the entire Kashmir valley
Violent incidents continued unabated in the Jammu and Kashmir region. 10 people were killed in firing by security forces during protests by unruly crowds. The authorities clamped curfew in the entire Valley in view of the grim law and order situation.
Police lobbed teargas shells to disperse groups belonging to two communities which pelted stones at each other at the curfew-bound Kishtwar area in Jammu. The Army was called out after 2 persons were killed and over 20 others injured in.
According to official sources, Security Forces opened fire at several areas in the Valley. 3 persons each were reported killed in Aribal in Bandipora district and Lasjan in the outskirts of Srinagar. 1protester each in Rainawari, Baghemahtab, Zoonmar( Srinagar area) and in Nagabal in Ganderbal region.
