CS Reviews Law and Order Situation
Hyderabad, Oct 7 (INN): On the directions of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Dr P K Mohanty on Monday held a video conference with District Collectors, SPs, City Police Commissioners, Supdt Engineers of DISCOMS at the secretariat.
DGP B Prasad Rao, Special Chief Secretary Energy M Sahoo, Addl DGP (Intelligence) Mahender Reddy, Police Commissioner Hyderabad Anurag Sharma and other officials were also present.
The Chief Minister will have a meeting with the employees unions on Wednesday to discuss all these problems.
All the district collectors, SPs and other district officials were told about the Chief Minister’s appeal. They were also told about the Group of Ministers meeting with APNGOs representatives. They were directed that law and order should be maintained at any cost and they should request for additional forces whenever and wherever necessary. Public and private properties particularly of the public representatives should be protected at any cost. The discom officials were told that 400/220/133 KV substations must be fully maintained and protected by the static and mobile police parties.
The district officials were told that outsource employees should be protected and outsiders should not be allowed. Preventive arrests should be made wherever necessary. District collectors, SPs, DISCOM Supdt Engineers should continue the dialogue with the JAC representatives. Night patrolling for trains should be maintained and if there is any power problem trains should be stopped at the nearest railway stations. Revenue magistrates should join the law and order duties. Hospitals water supply, railway tracks and other emergency services should be maintained at any cost and closely monitored.
District collectors and SPs were complimented for the good work during the difficult times.
