Hyderabad, July 23 (INN): Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed flood situation in some parts of the State and rescue and relief works with Chief Secretary Dr P.K.Mohanty and CMO officials at Secretariat.
In view of the forecast that there would be heavy rains for the next 48 hours, the Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary and various other departments to constantly monitor with the District Collectors and continue relief operations in all the flood-hit areas. He also asked them to keep a constant watch on the water levels at various reservoirs. He also asked the officials to immediately restore the breached minor tanks and repair of roads wherever necessary.
Already three teams of NDRF left for Adilabad in view of the heavy rains and flood situation there. The total number of deaths reported so far is 18 including six deaths due to wall collapse at MJA Colony, Moulali on Tuesday.
