CM Reviews Employees Strike, Law And Order Situation
Hyderabad, Sept 10 (INN): The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today directed the Chief Secretary Dr P K Mohanty, other Senior Officials and Police Officials to be alert over the Law and Order situation in the State in general and in the twin cities in particular, in view of the ongoing Vinayaka Chaturthy Navaratrotsav. He asked them to make alternative arrangements and closely monitor the situation and be ready with emergency services in view of the APNGOs strike, and agitations in the State.
The Chief Minister reviewed the law and order, strike, rains, inflows into the reservoirs, power generation, agricultural operations etc. with the Chief Secretary, CMO Officials and Senior police Officials this afternoon at the Secretariat. He said farmers should be given all assistance wherever required since agricultural operations are in full swing due to very good rains in most parts of the State.
The Chief Minister directed that all sensitive areas should be thoroughly checked, tight security be arranged in all these places and there should be no compromise in the strict maintenance of law and order. Surveillance should be maintained round the clock all over the city.
The Chief Minister said that water levels in the reservoirs should be maintained carefully and monitored closely, while producing hydel power. He said that fertilizers supply and distribution also should be checked by the vigilance cells.
