Chandrababu Naidu Suspends 4 Rebel MLAs
N Chandrababu Naidu, Telugu Desam Party chief suspended four legislators for anti-party activities and defying a directive to abstain from Thursday’s Presidential election.
A fifth legislator who voted, Kodali Nani of Gudivada, had already been suspended for meeting YS Jaganmohan Reddy, YSR Congress.
The suspended MLAs are Chinnam Ramakotaiah (Nuzvid), Bala Nagi Reddy (Mantralayam), Dr S. Venugopala Chari (Mudhole) and K. Harishwar Reddy (Parigi).
Harishwar Reddy and Venugopala Chari are angry with Naidu’s alleged defection on the Telangana issue after its 2008 resolution supporting Telangana. They have been hobnobbing with Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who quit the TD and formed his own outfit, and the TRS.
