Chandrababu Naidu’s dilemma
Former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is trying everything to be in the good books of voters. His ‘maha kootami’ could not fetch him enough votes to re-claim chief minister post in the last elections.
Before elections, Naidu supported Telangana, when the same announced he brought two-eye theory and exposed his double standards.
In the last elections, Naidu blamed Chiranjeevi for Congress party’s win. In the next elections, Naidu may blame YS Jaganmohan Reddy for his loss.
Sensing the repeat of 2009 results in the next general or mid-term elections, Naidu appears to have teamed up with the Congress to take on Jagan.
Despite several provocations from Jagan camp, Naidu is silent on no confidence motion against chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Congress too is afraid of Jagan’s clout and wants to finish him before elections. In the process Jagan is facing attacks from all sides. Chandrababu Naidu, Sonia Gandhi, Kiran Kumar Reddy and Ramoji Rao are described as ‘dushta chatustayamu’ by Jagan camp.
How can CBI reports leak to Andhra Jyothy without high command interference? Will Naidu’s secret alliance with Congress to fight Jagan backfire in the elections?
Chandrababu Naidu who took on yatra against corruption on Jan 30, on the same day Sakshi carried how Naidu was involved in various scams during his nine year tenure as chief minister and looted the government.
TDP has lost deposits in Teleangana in by-polls shows the party’s waning fortunes in the region. In case elections become inevitable in 2011, TDP will definitely fail to impress Telangana voters.
