Central Leaders Speak to Botsa on Vizianagaram Violence
Hyderabad, Oct 6 (INN): Senior leaders of the Congress party on Sunday called up Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana to enquire about the incidents of violence by Samaikhyandhra in Vizianagaram.
The leaders including AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh, Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Sonia Gandhi’s Political Advisor Ahmed Patel spoke to Botsa about the Vizianagaram’s incidents wherein his properties were damaged by Samaikhyandhra activists. They also enquired about the latest situation in Seemandhra region after the Union Cabinet’s decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to carve out Telangana.
It may be mentioned that the curfew have been impose and shoot-at-sight orders have been issued following incidents of violence in Vizianagaram, the native place of the PCC chief, on Saturday. Besides attacking the properties of Botsa and his family members, the activists resorted to large scale arson, looting and violence at several places. (INN)
