BJP takes up Home Guards’ issue
Bharatiya Janata Party state unit president G Kishen Reddy on Monday demanded that the state government take action on the various demands of the Home Guards.
Speaking to media persons after submitting a memorandum to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Mr Kishen Reddy said that he had appealed that the government accord sanction for providing minimum benefits to home guards.
The BJP leader stated that he had brought to KKR’s notice that the Home Guards were living in a pitiable state, being underpaid and overworked.
Mr Kishen Reddy stated that he had sought for a hike in daily wages, issue of bus passes, white ration cards and test for their promotions.
