Arun Shourie : BJP leadership in Blunderland
Arun Shourie : BJP leadership in BlunderlandThere is no respite for the internal squabbles of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). After Jaswant Singh, it is the turn of former minister Arun Shourie to launch a no-holds-barred attack on the present leadership.
Shourie called for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sabgh (RSS) to “bombard the BJP headquarters” and replace the top leadership with 10-15 nominees of its choice. He called the leadership “humpty-dumpty” and “Alice in blunderland”, while saying the party was adrift like a ‘kati patang’( a kite with the string cut off).
Shouri said that his prescription would be ‘jhatka’ or one swift execution not ‘halal’ or slow execution that too ‘Saare, saare’ meaning lock, stock and barrel, because there should be a total transformation in the party leadership.
Shourie alleged that the party leaders were indulging in “mutual protection and projection” and the party’s moral authority had depleted owing to involvement in cases like the cash-for-query scam.
According to BJP sources, Arun Shouri is likely to be expelled from the party for his public outbursts against the party’s leadership.
