President Barack Obama is spearheading a bill for health care for all and his measures are being opposed by a section of the US Senate. They argue that the President’s proposals may result in higher taxation.
Meanwhile, a top US consultancy house which studied the Arogya Sri scheme which is in vogue in Andhra Pradesh, is reported to have advised the US government about the sagacity of the scheme.
It is reported that officials of the US department of Health are going through the details of Arogya Sri scheme so as to implement the same with certain modifications to suit US conditions. This move is said to be supported by the powerful US based insurance business houses.
