AP Government to bear LPG hike
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, said on Thursday that the state government would not pass on the Rs 50 hike of LPG cylinders to consumers. Instead, the government would absorb the hike.. Since there were 1.05 crore LPG connections in the state, the additional burden on the state would come to Rs 600 crore every year, he said. However, there will be no reduction in prices of petrol and diesel.
Dr Reddy added that the UPA government had increased the prices of diesel and petrol because of unavoidable circumstances.
