All party delegation meets Kashmir leaders
The 39-member all party delegation, lead by Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, arrived in Srinagar and drove to the S.K. International Conference Centre (SKICC) and told the Kashmir delegations that they were here to listen to their views and give them a patient hearing and reach out to the State people.
Some of the delegates called on separatist leaders, including hardliner Syed Ali Geelani, and moderates like Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik.
All the meetings were held in the presence of the media, and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram promised the people of the J & K state that their “future, honour and dignity” are secure as part of India.
