Aero India 2009 starts in Bangalore

Aero India 2009 was inaugurated today by Defence Minister A.K. Antony at the Indian Air Force (IAF) station at Yelahanka, about 20 km from Bangalore.
The show started with a fly-past and aerobatics display by IAF’s aircraft including Sukhoi-30MKI, Mirage 2000, Jaguar, MiG-21, supersonic jet trainer Hawk and subsonic trainer Kiran and helicopters.

The biggest biennial event in South Asia, the five-day seventh edition of Aero India 2009 was watched by about 5,000 people including diplomats and air chiefs from all over the world.
