30 kg Gold & 2 Helicopters seized from Gali bros
A 11-member Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team while arresting former Karnataka minister and mining magnate Gali Janardhana Reddy seized Rs 3 crore in cash and 30 kgs of gold found at his residence.The CBI has also attached two helicopters owned by Janardhana and also seized several documents related to iron ore export and bank transactions outside the country.
The court has remanded Gali Janardhana Reddy and Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) managing director Srinivasa Reddy for a 14-day judicial custody.
The various IPC sections under which Janardhana Reddy and Srinivasa Reddy have been booked are 120(B), 420, 411, 379, 427, 447, Anti Corruption Act sections 13(2) and 13(1)A, Mines and Mineral regulation Act sections 4 (1) and 4(1) (A23) and Forest Act section 26. Almost all sections under the forest and anti-corruption Acts are non-bailable.
