Hyderabad, Sept 14 (INN): Three persons, including a woman, who are accused of fraud to the tune of Rs 15 lakhs in Sheetal Refineries, Gagan Pahad, Hyderabad were arrested from the Kerala and remanded to judicial custody.
The accused – Somy Mathew (28) occupation marketing manager resident of Happy Homes Hitch Suites Upperpally, Rangareddy district, her husband Vinod Babu, 32, native of Kadakkal, Kollam and Deepak Singh, (27) of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh – were handed over to the RGI Airport police two days back.
Police said on 27th august Sheetal Refineries company Manager logded a complaint at RGI Airport police against cheating a tune of lakhs of rupees.
Police said the trio had been leading a lavish life in a rented house at Naruvammoodu on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram for the past three months after swindling money from Hyderabad-based Sheetal Refineries Ltd. Somy, who was the marketing manager, had siphoned off the money with the help of the other two who were also employees of the firm.
Today RGI Airport Inspector Durga Prasad recovered rupees one lakh from the arrested persons and remanded them to judicial custody.
