Swine Flu: Pune shuts down schools and cinema halls
With rising number of swine flu cases, the Maharashtra Government on Monday ordered closure of schools, colleges and private educational institutions for a week in Pune. Cinema theatres, multiplexes and shopping malls remain closed for three days.
Schools, colleges, theatres and other establishments will use this shut-off period to get their premises disinfected and sterilized.
Pune registered three swine flu deaths so far. Until now, 778 persons have been admitted to various hospitals in Pune. 135 patients who tested positive for H1N1 virus have been discharged after treatment.
