SV Prasad new Chief Secretary of AP
S V Prasad, chief commissioner, land administration (CCLA), is all set to succeed P Ramakanth Reddy as the Chief secretary of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. His appointment was finalised by the Chief Minister on Tuesday and a GO is expected to be issued on Wednesday. Principal finance secretary G Sudheer will succeed Prasad as the CCLA.
SV Prasad, who is from the 1975 batch of the IAS, has worked with three chief ministers, both Congress and TDP, in the past. He is the only IAS officer who has been a chief minister’s secretary for about 12 years.
