Seven-Member Gang Apprehended, 38 Lakhs Property Seized
Hyderabad, Sept 11 (INN): DCP North zone R Jayalakshmi, IPS, at a press meet on Wednesday said that Market and Mahankali Police apprehended seven accused persons within ten days, near Pot Market, Secunderabad while they were trying to dispose the stolen property and recovered total property all worth 38,63,000/- intact.
This is a case of Robbery which occurred on August 25, 2013 under Market PS limits, wherein the victim Balakrishna S/o Dhanapal, aged about 52 years, vendor of precious stones and pearls R/o Gurunadhan Pillai street, Diamond street, Tiruchirapally, Tamilnadu state was robbed away by the accused by trapping through phone calls inducing to purchase the stones and pearls and robbed away the property worth Rs 38,60,000/- by throwing chilly powder in his eyes and beating him black and blue and vanished with the booty.
The details of accused arrested are A1 Chavva Mahendar, A2 Mittapally Babu, A3 Chavva Chinna Sreenivasu, A4 Md Anwar, A5 P Raju @ ISAAC, A6 Chavva Sreedhar and A7 M Shankar.
A team headed by A Srinivas Rao, DI Mahankali PS with DI Market PS and SI P Raghavendar and team has successfully detected the case within ten-days and recovered entire property intact.
The efforts done by A Sreenivasa Rao, DI Mahankali, assisted by Sudhakar, DI Market, P Raghavendar SI and team are appreciable and deserves to be rewarded suitably, DCP said.
