The eight Private Air Lines operators, King Fisher, Jet Air Lines, Spice Jet, Indigo and three others has served an ultimatum to Union Government stating that they will stop all their domestic services on 18th of next month as a token of protest for not receiving any support from the government as a special package for their survival.
They have warned the Government that if it fails to announce a special package soon to help them, then they will stop the domestic services permanently. The raising fuel charges, Air Port charges and the taxes etc brought the Air Lines to such a stage, that the operators are not even able to pay the salaries of their staff. All most all the private operators are submerged in heavy losses and vows thousands of crores to the Petroleum Companies for the fuel bill.
However, Air India declared that it is not joining the one day protest, and will operate its domestic services normally as per the schedule.
