Kalam opens Centre for Nanotechnology in Hyderabad
Former President of India, renowned scientist and missile technologist Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam on Saturday inaugurated the Centre for Nanotechnology at the University of Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion on the theme of ‘Dimensions of Nano Science and Technology’, Kalam called upon the researchers to make best use of nanotechnology in improving healthcare, aviation and other sectors in the country. He said India was well on the path of being a knowledge society but there was still was much to achieve. He defined knowledge as an amalgamation of creativity, righteousness in the mind and courage.
University of Hyderabad Vice-Chancellor, Seyed E. Hasnain and Pro Vice-Chancellor V. Kannan also spoke on the occasion.
