Hyderabad, Sept 15 (INN): The Three Day Conference of Gynecologists and Obstetricians concluded here at HICC on Sunday. The Conference was organised with an aim of Save the Girl Child and Curb Social Discrimination.
The Three Day meet encapsulated panel discussions & workshops by eminent doctors and delegates from the fraternity on significant subjects such as fetal surveillance—for intact survival and a innovations and implementation, non-communicable diseases and safe motherhood etc. Also there were deliberations on Urogynaecology, tacking haemorrhage,-sparing the uterus, ovulation induction and cancer and other informed Dr. Hema Divakar, President, FOGSI.
On the final day on Sunday, subject focus was on caesarean section, tumor talk, women’s health in 21st century, Oncology and enhancing fertility and much more she said added that the conference was highly successful given the seriousness of the participants, she added.
“We want to start Maternal Death Review in Karnataka. Dr. Hema leads the State Expert Committee (Karnataka) to analyse maternal mortalities in that State.
“The main agenda of the conference was the Millennium Development Goals 5, focusing on Nation’s Health and an update on the most recent advances in OBGYN concerning individual woman’s health. Apart from the outstanding scientific program, an elaborate trade fair and the accompanying social events, the Congress shall provide an excellent opportunity to forge new relationships and to exchange views & opinions with professional colleagues from across the country, ”said Dr. S. Shantha Kumari, Organizing Secretary of the Conference & Vice-President, FOGSI.
