The house where Mahatma Gandhi stayed in for three years from 1908-1910 in Johannsberg in South Africa, is put for public auction by Nansibal, the owner of the house, as there are no takers for this house from Indian community living there.
Nansibal lived there for the last twenty five years in the same house, after Gandhiji left for India. But, recently he shifted to Cafe Town to join his family members living there, and decided to sell the house. Actually he wants to dispose it to Indians first, so as the heritage house will remain under the safe custody of Indians only. But, he said there is no response from the Indian community living there regarding this issue. Hence, he is obliged to put it in public auction, which may take place around end of next month. Hope, the news reached the ears of our union government, and act appropriately in the right time.
