Hyderabad, Sept 16 (INN): The Andhra Pradesh High Court has adjourned the hearing to Thursday on a petition filed against the ongoing indefinite strike by the APNGOs in favour of Samaikhyandhra.
The petitioner, advocate Ravi Kumar, contended that the strike by APNGOs was illegal and causing inconvenience to the public. He sought directions from the court for the employees on strike to join their duties immediately.
It may be mentioned that nearly 4 lakh employees affiliated with Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association and other unions went on indefinite strike since August 12 midnight in protest against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to create Telangana.
The strike has badly hit the administration in 13 districts of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema region due to strike while the functioning of State Secretariat too was affected.
