Another student from AP shot at in US
Shashank Pulluru, 24, a student from Andhra Pradesh was shot at by unidentified persons in the southern American state of Tennessee on Saturday. He underwent two surgeries and his condition is stated to be out of danger. A resident of Hanamkonda in Warangal district, he is a 2nd year student of MS in management science at the Middle Tennessee State University.
This incident occurs barely two weeks after an IT professional from Andhra Pradesh was killed in the US. This is the 6th attack on Indian students in this year. Except Shashank, the other five succumbed to the attacks.
Shashank was fired at by an unidentified gang of African-Americans in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was returning to his apartment, across the road from the university campus, after attending classes when he was attacked.
Richard Presley from the Murfreesboro Police Department is investigating the case.
