Sreenu Vytla: Brahmanadam’s role not based on Chakri
There had been widespread speculation in the media that the character Jayasurya played by Brahmanandam in the film King is based on the real life of music director Chakri.
At a specially invited press meet, director of the film King, Sreenu Vytla clarified that the character Jayasurya has been created by one of his writers Gopi Mohan and is based on some lesser known personalities who perform the role of judges in music reality shows on TV.
Sreenu Vytla said that Chakri was his good friend and he had no intention to demean his stature. He said that he was giving this clarification publicly as the media was attributing the character of Jayasurya in King to Chakri.
