Old is Gold!
Tollywood actress Arthi Agarwal is so eager for offers, that she is signing every odd film coming on her way. Her re-entry into the Tollywood was not so gracefully begins when compared to her previous record. Her first film ‘Neelaveni,’ pairing with noted villain Mukul, and her second film, ‘Gentleman,’ with aggressive Director cum actor Posani Krishna Murali reveals that Arthi Agarwal is very desperate for films in her second innings. Now, she is doing a film pairing with comedian Darmavarapu Subrahmanyam, produced by Raja.R.R, under his own banner Raja Film Factory.
Arthi might be thinking that if somehow she could stabilise herself in the film industry first, and deliver one or two hits, then automatically big offers may flood her way soon. Though her strategy can’t be judged right now, no doubt there is a risk of being branded as old heroine who would be a perfect match for aging heroes, and character artists for doing sister and mother roles.
The teenaged heroines who are ready to expose themselves half naked like vamps, are the main contenders with whom Arthi has to race for opportunities. Whether she can compete with them or not, whether the film makers will agree for that or not, whether people would like to see her exposing or not, are the several factors that will decide her career in the second innings. Until then she has to accustom to ‘Old is Gold’ saying.
