A Mau Court issued a non-bailable warrant against Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt over his allegedly provocative election speech during the 2009 Lok Sabha election campaign.
Dutt had alleged that he was booked under TADA as he was the son of a Muslim mother. Dutt, in his speech had said, “it is true that TADA was imposed on me, many Muslims were caught and when there were enough Muslims, they thought of putting Hindus behind bars. I was there for 3 and a half years and was tortured because my mother was a Muslim, and I was a Muslim’s son. I am here to tell you this.”
