Murugadoss’ next film with Mahesh Babu & Ram Charan
Innovative film maker AR Murugadoss who surprisingly stunned the film buffs with Ghajini and surprisingly surprised the audience again with 7th Sense, is said to be penning a story that would have Pokiri-Mahesh Babu and Magadheera-Ram Charan Tej playing the protagonists.
A little Film Nagar canary sings that the film is most likely to be an unofficial take-off of the Hollywood 1969 blockbuster Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
That film had been written by William Goldman (who won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the film) and directed by George Roy Hill. The character Butch Cassidy was played by Paul Newman and that of Sundance Kid by Robert Redford.
It would be interesting to see how Murugadoss would adopt that scintillating melody from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid — “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head” sung by B.J. Thomas, written by Hal David and music composed and orchestrated by Burt Bacharach. This song was picturised just on Newman and Redford.
